Looking for a project

I've been wanting to start a software development project or get involved in one for a awhile now. I'd really like to give a hand at coding, but I just can't think of anything useful to develop or find anything interesting to help out with.
Language knowledge:
Python for around 2 years.
C and C++ for about 7 months.
Vala for about 2 months.
I'm also open to learn new languages, but I'd like to stick to those 3. If anyone knows of a project that needs another dev or help in any way, please tell me
